She maximizes "depth" in applying sfumato watto and chiaroscuro fundamentals in Line, Form, and Color. She has evolved her medium from painting oil on canvas to elaborate dimensions in clay, wood, glass and cement.

Shelly began her career in attending Israel's the Margushilisky Art School in Tel Aviv.
When she moved to New York she continued her studies at the Art Students League.
